Linda K. Smith

Director of Sustainability and Facilities

Linda K. Smith is Central Arkansas Water’s Director of Sustainability and Facilities. Smith’s primary role at CAW is to develop and implement strategic utility goals related to Environmental Sustainability including green house gas reduction, energy and fleet efficiency, solar projects, and waste reduction. She also directs construction, renovation and daily operations for buildings and grounds throughout the CAW system.

She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and has an engineering career spanning over 40 years beginning in the petroleum industry and progressing through senior leadership roles with local nonprofits. Prior to joining CAW, she spent 11 years working with LEED projects throughout the South region.

Smith is a Little Rock Parks and Recreation Commissioner and a member of the Ferncliff Board. She is the 2022 individual winner of the Little Rock Sustain the Rock Award for efforts to green the city and a past winner of the Jane Mendel ViPS Award for her longtime support of the Little Rock School District.
