Annual Report 2013

The theme of this year’s report is Providing Exceptional Value with Every Drop. The video shows how we Protect, Monitor, Distribute, and Treat the high quality water that we provide. This video features mission critical updates from CAW staff as well as guest appearances from community stakeholders and local elected officials.

Introduction and Welcome – CAW Board Chairman Eddie Powell introduces the annual report video.

Protect – Major accomplishments from our Watershed Protection efforts, including adoption of zoning in the Pulaski County portion of the watershed, streambank restoration for improved water quality, and ExxonMobil pipeline updates.

Monitor – Highlights of the number and type of samples collected by CAW and the purchase of ICPMS and IC equipment lending more expedient and abundant water sample data.

Distribute – Information regarding enhanced meter reading technologies and two major system improvements from 2013 – a sliplining project in downtown Little Rock and a surge tank on the raw water line from Lake Maumelle.

Treat – Details regarding our 2013 treatment plant upgrades, including the Chlorine Dioxide project needed to meet federal Safe Drinking Water Act regulations.
