CAW Lifts Precautionary Boil Water Order in Maumelle

MAUMELLE – Water service is back to normal for customers in the Maumelle. At 12 p.m. (Saturday, May 21, 2016), Central Arkansas Water (CAW) lifted a precautionary boil water order that had been in effect over the past day for 90 customers in Maumelle along Lily Drive and Hibiscus Drive northwest of Waterside Drive and all roads feeding off said streets.

Water quality samples show that the water supply to the area is free of bacteriological contamination, and customers no longer need to boil their tap water before using it for drinking and cooking purposes. CAW is notifying area customers of the lifting of the boil water order with informational street signs at the entrance to the affected area.

On Friday, CAW placed residents in the area of Lily Drive and Hibiscus Drive in Maumelle under the order as a precautionary based on a possible contamination due to a main break.

Customers with questions about the precautionary boil water order may contact the CAW Distribution Dispatch Center day or night at 377.1239.
