Wye Mountain Precautionary Boil Water Order Lifted

PULASKI CO, AR – Water service is back to normal for customers in the Wye Mountain community.  At 12:00 pm. (Thursday, March 10, 2016), Central Arkansas Water (CAW) lifted a precautionary boil water order that had been in effect over the past day for 300 customers along Underwood Road and Hwy 113 north of Underwood Road as well as Hwy 300 east of Hwy 113 and all roads feeding off said streets.

Water quality samples show that the water supply to the area is free of bacteriological contamination, and customers no longer need to boil their tap water before using it for drinking and cooking purposes. CAW is notifying Wye Mountain area customers of the lifting of the boil water order with informational street signs at the entrance to the affected area.

On Wednesday, CAW placed residents in the Wye Mountain Community under the order as a precautionary measure based on a possible contamination due to a main break.

Customers with questions about the Precautionary boil water order may contact the CAW Distribution Dispatch Center day or night at 377.1239.
