Gwendolyn Osler is a Laboratory Analyst with Central Arkansas Water. She runs various tests on the area’s water to ensure exceptional quality. A Little Rock native, Gwendolyn attended Parkview High School and UALR where she got her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She’s worked at Central Arkansas Water for 19 years now and hopes to stay until she retires.
“The best thing about working here is mostly the people. I have some good coworkers that are really good people that you wouldn’t mind spending time with outside of work. They help the day and the work go easier.”
Besides her commitment to the utility, Gwendolyn has a lot going on! She loves to bike and listen to audio books. She listened to over 110 books “…everything from Plato to Sci-Fi with a little religion, health, and philosophy thrown in.”
She especially loves music of all kinds!
“I once wished I could play for the Arkansas Symphony. I especially like gospel, classical piano, Spanish guitar, and all music from the 70s through the 90s.”
An interesting fact some of her friends don’t even know: she’s an archer.
“I picked it up when I attended a summer retreat called ‘Outdoor Woman.’ I’ve been practicing archery for three years now.”
We asked her, “If you could have lunch with anyone, who would it be?”
She answered: Jesus, an American pioneer, someone from the future, an alien, a dictator (what makes them tick?), Martin Luther King, Jr., and Richard Branson or Warren Buffet (for money-making tips). Well…we didn’t specify it had to be one person…
Thanks, Gwendolyn, for all of your hard work and your commitment to Central Arkansas Water!
