CAW lifts precautionary boil order for customers along West and East Scenic Hill Drive

For Immediate Release: December 8, 2012

NORTH LITTLE ROCK – Water service is back to normal for customers north and south of West Scenic Hill from Park View Drive to East Scenic Hill Drive, Avalon Drive and Cliffwood Circle. At 3:30 p.m. (Saturday, December 8, 2012), Central Arkansas Water (CAW) lifted a precautionary boil water order that had been in effect over the past two days for 250 customers along West Scenic Hill Dr. and East Scenic Hill Dr.

Water quality samples show that the water supply to the area is free of bacteriological contamination, and customers no longer need to boil their tap water before using it for drinking and cooking purposes. CAW is notifying Scenic Hill Drive customers of the lifting of the boil water order with an informational door hanger at each home/business and informational street signs at main entrances to the street.

On Friday, CAW placed residents along West and East Scenic Hill Drive under the order as a precautionary based on a possible contamination due to a main break.

Customers with questions about the Precautionary boil water order may contact the CAW Distribution Dispatch Center day or night at 377.1239.
